This has been a good week! I've been very committed to exercising and it's working! I feel really great and today i rewarded myself with some new clothes. It was so good to fit into a smaller size. It's great motivation for me to continue to exercise and make healthy choices.

I'm feeling a lot better - I exercised several times this weekend and really focused on making good choices for meals.
I usually don't plan out my calories too well - I think I'm ok and then at dinnertime, I barely have enough budgeted for dinner. I'm starting to get in a better mindset with that!
We bought lots of fresh fruits and veggies - including local strawberries that are small and sweet! I just have to make sure I'm sharing with my 10 month old!
I'm glad that the weight I put back on in the last few weeks is starting to come off.
The goal for this week is exercise!!!

It's been a tough week. Our dog Elvis unexpectedly died last Thursday from bloat. It was sudden and we weren't prepared to say goodbye since he was only 7.
We were going to go to Maine for vacation, but extended family illness has postponed our trip until July or August. We went to Maryland instead to see my mom. We needed a break and we needed to get out of the house - since everything seemed to remind us of Elvis. Our other 2 dogs, Ginger and Bobby, are upset too - I don't know if they realize Elvis is gone or if they just know we're upset.
So needless to say, our loss, combined with stress about seeing my family, I have not recorded anything in my food journal and I'm up 2 lbs. It was 4, but I was better when I weighed myself this morning.
I've struggled with doing low carb the last few months. While I know that it works, I'm not fully committed to it and I've hit a plateau. I have been feeling really tired, unmotivated and depressed. I think I'm going to focus more on calories in, calories out. I need to step up the exercise and I was able to get a good start yesterday by run/walking on the treadmill and then I took my son for a walk in our neighborhood. I also did some crunches and wow - it didn't take much for me to tire out!
I'm going to continue to make healthy choices, but I'm going to try and incorporate more carbs since I think I do feel better having a little more. We'll see how it goes!

A small victory after a few weeks of a plateau, so I'm happy to see my number go down a little.
I haven't been dedicating enough time to exercise - I'm getting it here and there, but not consistently.
However, today we're walking the 5K at work -ready or not! I think we'll do fine - as long as the rain lets up for a little while! I'm going to try and take my phone and use my endomondo app so I can track my route and calories - it will be fun to see.

After a rough couple of weeks, I was very happy to get on the scale this morning and see 164.5 staring back at me! It might have just been the protein pancakes from last night, but I'll take it!
It seems that while my RDI is 1800, I need to focus on staying around 1500 - combined with exercise, that should give me a 500 cal deficit.
I will work to stay positive to achieve my goals. I'm excited to go volunteer tonight with the cat rescue and get my time away from the house! Especially with WBC not going to sleep until after 10 pm, I need it!
