Wow, I've only gained 0.4 lbs in about a week. Hopefully that is all baby. I'm feeling her move a TON lately. Sometimes it takes me by surprise when she gives me a good strong kick!
This weekend we went to our friend Rachel and Rob's renewal of their wedding vows. I'm mentioned her before in my journals. Her cervical cancer came back last December and she was given 10-12 months to live. So they decided to have this big party on April 17th and celebrate their marriage one last time. Despite the sad reason for the event, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and have a good time spending quality time with her. She's only 35 years old; 3 years older than me.
The Thursday before the party she had to have a stint put in to drain her kidney b/c the tumor is getting big enough to impact her kidney's function. She seemed fine at the party, looked great. Then yesterday she was having some really bad pains. It ended up being a bowel obstruction so they had to give her a colostomy procedure. She really really REALLY didn't want that but they had to do it~ there were no other options.
Situations like that make my own minor issues pale in comparison. Any pains I experience from this pregnancy are for a good happy cause so I'm trying to keep that in mind!
My car's check engine light came on this morning. We dropped it off at the Toyota dealership on the way to work. I'm praying it's just something minor... I really don't want to have to funnel a lot of money into a 12 year old car. All I need is for this car to last me ONE MORE YEAR (til I graduate law school).
Three more days of classes and then it's total exam study time for me! in 20 days this will all be behind me and it will be summer break. :)
