Day 2 of the Fat Fast, I am avoiding the scales till Friday but the fat fast might be busting the plateau! I feel lighter anyway :)
I am doing about 200 cal/no to low carb, 5x a day. And, that ain't much! I am hungry more than I am use to but if I can get the scales to move I will stick with it a couple of more days.

Well I got thru Sunday and MLB game AND stayed on Atkins, no beer, no nachos, no margaritas, no pizza or loaded chili dogs! One sausage on a stick and then some pecans & almonds from home. The best news is I was able to walk all the way from the car into the stadium, up to our seats and then back out to car without assistance or even hurting---I haven't been able to do that in over 10 years!!! Last year if I wanted to go to a baseball game with everyone else, I had to swallow hard and take a motored wheelchair. The arthritis in my back was so bad it hurt to walk across the street much less all the walking and stairs at one the huge sports stadiums. Between the weight loss (even just the few I have loss so far) plus the pool exercises and the chiropractor visits, have made just a vast improvement in my mobility. I am so excited, no pain this morning!!! The next challenge is the Dallas/Ft Worth airport next week. And trips thru airport usually make me cry.
Today I am starting a fat fast in earnest, gotta get off this plateau thing. 250 cal/4x per day, majority of the cal from fat, Atkins says it will work
Yesterday I don't think I managed the cal part but I did limit meals to 4 and lower cal counts. The sausage on the stick I am sure was much more but that was the most I ate at any one time. Today its eggs, half & half in the coffee, cream cheese, maybe an all beef weiner. And lots of water plus the daily vitamins.
Wish me luck, the health benefits are great, BUT I want more! I want the weight numbers to go down! Yeah, I want to be a LOSER!! :)

My diet is definately in a stall! :(
I have tried remaining less than 20 carbs/day since Jan, which I don't see as a problem, and easy enough to do. I went back to measuring everything this week instead of eyeballing it. Found I am usually accurate eyeing things :) But that did not get the scales to move. :( I have been drinking my water, usually not a problem either.
I am thinking of doing a week of the Quick Loss Diet, a more severe low carb diet, to see if that will get the downward movement of the scales.
I am determined to loss the weight! I am tired of being this size! I am tired of being limited physically!

Another week of no loss, no gain. I am following the plan 100% and have added exercise to my daily routine for the last month, I guessing the meds (insulin + other Rxs) are causing issues again. Good news is I dropped one pant size! And I still feel good, and NO thoughts of giving up!

Got back to the pool yesterday for some much needed exercise. Exercising in the pool is soooo much easier on my arthritis!
Monday 4/14 30 min water walking
30 swimming
30 water aerobics
Getting up and moving REALLY does make you feel better, you just have to get thru those first couple of days when the body wants to resists. After that its addictive!
