lol! Please don't. If I ever hit my owl I am going to cry. We have a pet owl. Well it's not a pet but it lives in our yard. It is the neatest thing. I only complain when it screeches in the pine tree outside my bedroom window. It's not afraid of us. It will land in trees in the yard and watch us but if you get too close he flies off. He is always in our yard and has lived with us for awhile now. I don't know what kind it is but it's pretty big and it has little horns or ears on it's head. It is out screeching from about 5pm till 7am every day. I am going to try and get some pictures of him but my stupid camera is broken. It won't zoom anymore.

Bloody hell that owl sounds scary! I think I would aim for it! Lol never mind I'm sure you will hit it soon as you do every thing else! Lol then you won't have to worry about your zoom as you can take a close up! Lol I love animals really!

Noooo! Now you can come take aim at all the stray dogs that people decide to drop off on us. We are starting to get a collection of strays now. Seriously I need to have a talk with my brothers. If they ever shoot my owl.... I don't know what I would do but I would be so so so upset. Hopefully I won't hit the owl. I am usually driving slow when I get to my house. The rest of the time I am going 55 mph plus because it is a highway and the stupid creatures run right in front of me. The other day I barely missed a coyote when I topped a hill. A couple of days later the coyote was hit in the exact spot I had missed it. I guess it picked a bad place to cross. This road going to my house is about 15 miles and if you counted them I bet you could count 30 - 50 roadkill creatures any given day on this stretch of road.

Hey, depending on what it is I just might do that. For example... if I hit a deer... that puppy is coming home with me! lol! So glad deer season is about to start. I can't wait for some deer tacos or some backstrap with onions and mushrooms. Yumm!

Amanda, my coworker hit a deer the other morning. By the time he got to work and called a neighbor, it was gone. Already picked up for dinner???? A while back I ran over a armadillo. A few weeks later I ran over a squirrel. Tuesday I had a bat run into my windshield.

I'm going to go all technical on you guys... putting on my nerd glasses. You wouldn't like fresh beef. Honestly. You can't "wipe it's ass, knock of it's horns, and throw it on the plate" as the old saying goes. It would taste very different and not so good. Beef is aged. It is a very discusting process. They hang the meet in cellars for at least a month and let it "age" meaning mold starts growing on the outside... not pretty hugh? Then they cut the moldy part off and send the good stuff off to the butcher at your local supermarket. Something about the fungus growing on the outside makes the meat inside have a better flavor. My cousin is a butcher. If you don't believe me Google it. It will make you think the next time you bite into that rib eye. My family has had a cow processed before and it is expensive because of the aging process. So if you hit a deer you take it home, dress it out and put it in the fridge/freezer... but if you hit a cow you have to get it somewhere fast to start the process. There you have it... your discusting lesson of the day. :)

Yuck I don't think I will ever eat beef again! Although rib eye does sound nice! So do burgers come to that! Lol

Yep, lol! It all does and I guess we should be glad because beef that is not aged doesn't taste very good - so I have heard.

I don't care what anyone says, it still tastes yummy. I could tell you stories about a lot of foods that would make you think twice.

I was just going to say hi to Amanda today but now I'm stuck in the middle of rotting carcasses and vomiting buzzards and I don't know quite what to add to the discussion. I can't even stand the thought of running over something that is already dead much less running into something - I would be paralyzed w/shock. You and Keli are much tougher than me.
