You can do it, if you do stumble along the way your grandad will help you get back up again. I hope you get there, but don't be too hard on yourself, be realistic about what you can lose, forgive yourself if you have a bad day, grief and bereavement are very hard to live with, what matters is that you keep on trying and when you get where you want to be then put just as much effort into staying there as you did getting there.
