I am so tired today! My son has decided to totally change his sleeping habits all around. He is only 2, but if he takes a nap, we are up til 11 at night trying to get him to sleep, but if we skip the nap(my one or two hours a day to regain my sanity!lol) we can lay him down and 8 and he is out like a light. But he keeps getting up in the middle of the night and getting in our bed. So we get up, put him back in his bed, and then he is right back in our bed an hour later. So we do it again. And then he gets up again. and then we are too tired to keep it up, and just let him sleep with us. He sleeps, I can't! So, I dont know. I know it is starting a bad habit!
I didn't work out yesterday but I did rearrange my whole living room, vacuumed the whole house, baseboards, mopped the kitchen and dining room, and then raked up 3 huge piles of leaves. So, I am actually a little sore this morning. And the scale was down another pound. I really feel like I am going to kick the 180's to the curb and move on into 170 land by Monday!! woohoo!

Happy St. Patrick's Day all! I actually have a corned beef brisket in my freezer but I think I am going to pass on cooking it. I LOVE it too much, and I think I would eat way too much of it!
Last night was very upsetting for us. We have been working on having our house de-annexed for the past year. The city administrator told us it would be no problem, and even gave us a written letter confirming it was in the works, so that we could get our daughter registered in the county school system. The city school she was zoned for is NOT GOOD! Our house in on the fringe of the city/county line. Everyone in our neighborhood is zoned county except for us. So, we got the letter, got her registered, and a week later, the man who promised us this was fired. Then the mayor told us this was not a possibility to be done, no matter what we were told, but that they would put it on the agenda for the city council meeting which was held last night. They completely shot us down, without even the slightest consideration. They wouldn't even vote on it. The worst part for me is that we have started Riley in kindergarten, she is adjusted, has wonderful friends, fixing to be tested for the gifted program, thinking she is at a school she will be going to for the next 5 years. Now we have to move her to another school next year. A school that is AWFUL!! I don't know what to do. We are thinking about buying a piece of property in the county. I just don't know. Education is so important to our family, and so this is a big deal for us. Anyway. I just needed to vent on that. It really makes me wish we had never moved back to this town. I am not prejudice, by any means whatsoever, but I do feel like we should not have to be the minority in our own schools. My daughter should not be the only child who speaks english in her classroom. I am just really upset about this. I am really sorry if I offend anyone by saying that.

Down 20 lbs now from my recent start-over date!! 9 weeks in and 20 lbs lighter! So excited!! My goal for this week is to kick the 180's to the curb and move on down to the 170s!! I haven't exercised in several days so I will start that up again today. I always do great on the workouts at the beginning of the week, but towards the end I lose steam. So I am committing to 4 days of workouts this week.
I have 4 more weeks until our mini-trip to see my family. I really hope to be at 170 by then. My initial goal was to be at 160 by then but I would have needed to lose 3 lbs each week and I knew that was aiming high when I set that goal. But I am happy with my results so far and will be very content to reach 170 by then instead.

Friday the 13th! Another week bites the dust! I am happy to see the scale moving in the right direction. I have a doctor's appt this morning. Yearly female physical. Yuk. But I am hoping to see a big change in my weight from last year. I will have to check my weight history from Oct. 07, I think I was just under 200 then, but not positive. I am also going to get my cholesterol checked since that is something I have never done. My 6 year old has high cholesterol, itty bitty thing and she eats very healthy and is always getting exercise, so we know it is hereditary, and we know my husband has high cholesterol, but I am curious to see if mine is as well. I don't think it would be, but ya never know. Time to find out!
Last month to the day, a good friend of ours called to tell us her brother was murdered by his ex-wife. She has been on the run for a month now, and last night they finally caught her!! Praise God! Our friend has been living in fear for the last month, afraid for her life, b/c this crazy women had threatened to kill them all. Crazy!But now they can have a little peace of mind. The woman was hiding out in a hotel just 20 minutes away. How Stupid! But we are glad she was that stupid.
Tomorrow will pose a challenge. My daughter's best friend is having a birthday party. So I have to display self control and not eat pizza and cake! Fingers crossed!
We also have decided to build on to our house so that my husbands grandmother can live with us. We are calling to confirm with the contractor this morning so hopefully it will get started ASAP and be done before Grandma is released from the nursing home, but that is April 15th so we'll see. Big changes coming our way. Nervous!
Ok, well, I have rambled enough! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Update: Just got back from the Dr. I weighed 181 on their scale FULLY CLOTHED with jeans on! woohoo! All our friends that get on our scale leave unhappy, saying they have gained 5 lbs! lol. Maybe it IS off a bit! lol
