Today begins week 3. I should have gotten up extra early and completed my workout this am but for whatever reason I did not think ahead. My family and I are eating dinner at my parents tonight to celebrate my 40th birthday so we probably wont get home until 7 or 7:30 which will throw a small wrench into the bedtime routine for the kids. That in turn will mean a later start for P90X. I'll get it in but will feel the loss of sleep tomorrow. Eating at my parents will also add to the crazy calories days I have had this weekend. Why is it when we celebrate something it almost always involves overeating and the consuming of far too many cocktails?!? I guess we all need to get off the diet train every once in a while. The scale seems glued to the same weight so I am keeping my fingers crossed that there has been no real harm done and tomorrow when I get back on track fully in terms of calories I will begin to see a drop in weight. That is the one thing that has been a little disappointing with P90X...very little weight change. I know that muscle weights more than fat and I definitely feel a difference in how my clothes are fitting even if I do not see the difference on the scale. I actually fit into my "skinny" size 8 jeans over the weekend for the first time in proabaly close to a year. So gains are being made but I just hope to see them on the scale soon as well.
I'll keep bringing it to my P90X workouts. I am just about 1/3 done with the first round and know that I am much better off for just pushing play!!
