I was traveling (some work, some vacation) for almost the entire month of June. I didn't go completely off the rails, but I was not closely following my diet and exercise plan. I was up 5 pounds when I got back, am down a bit now. It's a little discouraging, but I'm trying to keep upbeat and get back to on track.

I ran today, went a little over 2 miles. I did interval training, as Teddy suggested in one of my earlier entries. So, after I got warmed up I would sprint one lap of the track as fast as I could, then walk a couple laps then jog a little before I did it agin. I did that five times. This indoor track is small, 12 laps equals a mile. So, sprinting a lap actually doesn't take very long at all. Still, it was super hard! I was pretty wiped out afterwards.
I then came home to some kid drama, which I had zero patience for. After I ate something and drank water I was much more able to deal with them. It was like one of those ridiculous snickers commercials. Lol. My husband (Teddy) has been on a trip overseas for 10 days and we are looking forward to having him home soon. Our youngest is always stressed out when one of us is away for more than a day or two and I think she's missing her dad a lot. Happily, he should be home tomorrow.

Still holding steady. Overall I'm doing ok, I'd just would like to be able to break out of this plateau.
I had a good weekend of soccer and am getting lots of walking and running in, which is good. I'm ok for food, but I'm starting to get weary of my standard breakfast (veggies and eggs) and lunch (salad with a bit of turkey breast). Gotta find some more good alternatives that I can add to the mix. I used to do very carb-heavy breakfasts-- cereal or oatmeal or a bagel or something like that. I liked that those are very easy and although my new standard breakfast is something that I enjoy, it takes time to make it in the mornings and I am getting a bit bored with it after eating almost the same thing every day since Feb. LOL.

I went running again today-- 27 minutes (the last 5 were walking to cool down) and just over 2 miles. Not super fast, but a good consistent pace for me. It felt good, which I think is a great sign. That's 2 days in a row now. I'm determined to make progress and get past this plateau!

Another week of going up and then back down. The chart looks stable, but it really hasn't been.
My running partner recently moved to Chicago and am realizing that even though I thought I would be fine with that, I haven't been on a regular running schedule since then.
I'm going today, will go again on Friday, and then will move to a Tues/Thurs running schedule. (I usually play soccer on the weekends, so it will be good to have Mondays and Fridays be more restful). I'll also incorporate some strength stuff after I run. I should be able to keep up this schedule through the summer while my schedule is still pretty flexible.
There, I wrote it down. So, now it is real and I have to do it. ;-)
