Back on track, just got to combat getting so mentally tired that eating seems the solution. Yesterday I was without a car since my husband's was in the shop and it works better for him to drop me off. Didn't really feel like walking to Wendy's which is closest to where I work, so thought I'd just get something out of the vending machine. Then people kept bringing problems to me and I decided I needed the break.
The walk in the sunshine was refreshing and when I got there I got a side garden salad with low-fat dressing and ate it there while reading my Kindle. It was a nice break and I felt better for getting some exercise and eating healthy. I need to do that more often.

My excuse this week is that yesterday was my birthday and we went out for prime rib dinner last night. Could have made some better choices, but I'm not too worried as i know this is a temporary gain. Back to shredded wheat and low-fat milk this morning and I'm back on track.

Glad to have a drop this week, but I'm beginning to think my scales do not go below 200! Oh well, next Friday.

I did not do well at all this week and I've been blaming being tired and stressed at work and using that as an excuse to overdo on unhealthy snacks. But I think in reality it is the opposite - it is because I'm not eating healthy this week that I'm so tired and having a hard time handling my work load.
It is the weekend and I have Monday off so a good time to get some rest and renew the effort. I can do this. I am in control - well, not so much lately, but I can change that!

Today I did my 6-month follow-up with the doctor who diagnosed my NAFLD. He was very pleased with my 20lb weight loss since I last saw him, and was very positive about my outlook. We won't do another scan for another 6 months since the last one did not show any scarring. Promised him I'd lose another 20 by then. It is always good to get these re-commitment reasons!
