Around 50g net carbs work for me on low carb days! Have to mention that I'm breastfeeding though

I've been restricting carbs, esp sugars, to control blood sugar and am eating between 75-150g a day. And between 60-120g protein a day. (I'm pregnant)

Don't think it is healthy to diet when you are pregnant. Why don't you speak to your Doctor 😷, who is going to get the nutrients?

Hi. I'm on keto, so I have under 20g of carbs per day. It's really hard when you are starting off, because you don't know what you can or cannot have but after a while it's easy peasy! On keto you can have lots of protein and fat so you feel fuller for longer.

@jamofree, the brain requires at least 130 grams glucose per day to function. Carbs is not the same thing as glucose.

Type into Google....Marks Daily Apple How nuch glucose does your brain really.need. Maybe ny buddy Jules will see this post abd she can tell you the story of her friends son who went keto and completely eliminated his epileptic fits. Bearing in mind that epileptic seizures are caused by excessive electrical activity in the brain.

To get into ketosis, when starting under 20g per day, then 30 to loose weight, to loose in maintenence stage under 50g per day. Check banting, Craig rule me and Atkinson. Internet have plenty advice and penester is an excellent search network with many low carb recipes and advice. Use search engines and 99 times you will get excellent results. Maybe I am a example, Decided not to go hard, but to make it a new lifestyle.

Barker, no I am not diabetic, but my glucose tolerance test showed I do have sime dysglycemia. I have a doctor and have consulted with a dietician. I'm also testing my blood sugar. I am using fatsectret to track and record my diet and results. Carbs def cause a blood sugar spike for me. Protein and fats don't.

Good for you Nuffing. Carbs are anyway just empty calories, with minimal nutrition.

Different people, different views. Only asking to use the tools available, most of them free of charge, data you going to pay for of cause. LCHF is a very difficult diet to start, it make you sick, but as the body goes into ketosis, easy and enjoyable. Enjoy your weekend everybody, if you want to cheat, just do it👌
