Ok, day one and i'm already craving sugar. Sugar is a big problem for me, i can't have enough which is why i chose the south beach diet - hopefully i'll be able to gain control. I had a nice supper, but I didn't feel satisfied at all from from it. This is already hard = /

I have previously done SBD and like you had a lot of sugar cravings in the beginning. I lost 13 lbs the first two weeks and completely lost my sugar cravings. I suffered severe headaches from the sugar withdrawal and the first 4 days were the worst!! BUT, the good news is they go away!! and you will feel so much better. I tell myself that I can do anything for 14 days. I have another friend who only thinks in terms of 24 hours. We can go without anything for 24 hours. You will find in a very short time that you feel so much better that the temporary suffering is well worth it. Good luck - and hang in there.

If you really need a "sugar" pick me up, try 2-3 SF hard candies or a SF fudgecicle or popcicle. they'll really hit that sweet spot that's yelling at you! :)
