i think it is important to really get a grasp of what you are going to do. The reason I say this is I have had some friends go on and off of Atkins. This is a very unhealthy yo-yo pattern when doing atkins. Because of the higher fat and protein in this diet if you go on and off it can be vvery unhealthy and hard on the kidneys as well as the intestines. Atkins is a lifestyle not a diet you can loose weight on and then go back to your old patterns. I hope this doesnt seem harsh but doing Atkins is a major decision to change your lifestyle permenantly. Wishing you all the best.
