woman I’ve always wanted to be. I’m so proud of the progress I made over only five months, loosing a whopping 25kgs with healthy eating, calorie counting (1200 most days) and working out daily. In the beginning of December everyone at home got Covid and we had to isolate twice during the month. At first I just stopped exercising, but by the week before Christmas I was eating ‘normal’ foods again. I gained around 1.5kgs during December which wasn’t too bad, but I lost all the muscle gains and started looking a bit puffy again. On 3 January I decided to get back into routine and pick up where I left off. Day 15 of Chloe Ting’s Flt Stomach Challenge and 45mins of cardio. My body struggled and I didn’t listen. By day 18 I could hardly walk because my muscles were to sore and stiff 😂🙈 Eating clean was the other challenge as I was craving fast food and sugary snacks. I really struggled going back to eating well as I constantly wanted to eat because I was bored since I’m job hunting at the moment. I realised that I had to take the time to build up my fitness level and get back into clean eating systematically while keeping myself busy, productively. My social calendar has been so busy and will be for the next few weeks, it’s been difficult convincing myself to get back eating well ‘because this weekend I’m going to have to celebrate with friends and family’. No. I’m tired of my old excuses. I do not have to wait to start. Exercising for 5/7 days and eating well 2/3 meals are better than no exercise and eating uncontrollably. Yesterday was my 5th ‘day one’ for the year. I’m not going back to the way I was. I’m going to keep fighting.

You look so great lady - do you mind if I ask how tall you are? We have very similar timelines (2019-2021) and starting and ending weights. You look so great i wish I looked as good as you at 70kg. I am aiming for around 58kg. Also gained a bit over December but I am not too concerned about it yet, more aiming now to get b my diet back in line and just feel good again ❤️

Thank you SO much for all the encouragement everyone! I really appreciate every comment so much. We're all in the same boat so we all know that our hard work will *eventually* pay off. I've been following a few of your journeys too and actually so proud of how you guys have been pushing through <3

@seedat1961 I cut out refined carbs for quite a while -- white pasta, all bread and pizza base. I also limited my actual sugar intake to 2-4 teaspoons a day in total with coffee. I limited my red meat intake to some biltong once or twice a week and I always opt for plain yogurts and cottage cheese too :) Different things work for different bodies though so I would encourage you to take the time to figure out what works best for you.
