I bought a pedometer and used it for the first time yesterday- I did 280 steps less than the 10000 advised, but I was surprised to find I'd walked 3 miles just doing what I normally do. So should I record it as having walked 3 miles in my diary?

If it's part of your training, keep fit then of course it counts, but if it's what you normally do, then no. Any extra yes, as this is then the added bonus :-)
