Diario de rockseer, 11 ene. 11

Victory is mine!!!! I won at the Cheesecake factory yesterday evening. I ordered a great burger with cheese and avocado, hold the bun please, and a side of nice buttered broccoli. It was great and the burger really had a nice flavor to it. Hubby ate the BREAD from the basket, ordered chicken parm sandwich and was looking longingly at MY BURGER. He said his was ok...I offered to share my burger but he declined..so, no cheating for me!!!! I KNOW I can go anywhere to eat and find yummy foods that fit my new lifestyle. I will not be deprived, lol.

For lunch, I am visiting with an old friend at a favorite restaurant. Looking forward to it, and I know I won't have problems with THAT menu either. But then tonight, going OUT again to our community Bible study in a friend's living room. This is where I can get into trouble because people bring brownies, sandwiches, chips, BROWNIES, lol...and other stuff. I will EAT my dinner before I go and slip a piece of cheese in my Bible for an emergency. Temptations are all around so I need to get used to this ...while in week three of induction!!!

Great job,I am so proud of you, and I am not on the atkins program. It is all in how we look at things. Its hard to get away from temptations so we must tune them out.. Hope you have a great day...Bren

Good job on your food choices. I find it easy to eat out almost anywhere - protein and salad/veggies - not hard to do but resisting all the other stuff around - sometimes challenging but you are doing so well and know that its not worth blowing your hard work! It is hardeer when its someones home and you are surrounded by all that so tasty crap. Good luck in being strong again tonight.

Congratulations!!!! A personal victory and accomplishment for you. you Go!! A suggestion, something that has helped me in someone elses home and should be openly accepted at a bible study, take a plate of Atkins veggies for your phase and an acceptable Atkins veggie dip and cheese. You might be suprised at how the others will nibble from your plate, so take plenty, it will be easier to resist their not so healthy goodies. Who knows everyone might take a healthier attitude towards treats to bring.

Awesome job! I too am proud of you! Lisa online posted something yesterday, I think? About visualizing yourself at the perfect weight for your body type, age, and lifestyle. I posted a sign on the refrigerator to remind me of the way I need to keep thinking. One of the things that I put on another sign was to change my eating habits by drinking water when those temptation come around. Don't know if this will work every time but it is a step in the right direction. Stay strong tonight. Don't let anyone tell you that just one bite won't hurt. During this past weekend I had people shoving food in my face and I just told them that I chose what I eat and I chose not to eat that! They left me alone. We Can Do It With God's Help and a little help from our Fatsecret buddies!

@Lori, ty for that idea...I WILL bring a plate of veggies and enough to share! @sarahmum, ty for the encouragement...it is always welcome and it helps. @Cindy, YES, a visual works for me. And you are right, people always shoving food my way, but in a good way. They do not understand. Gods help and FS buddies! I am ready for the battle!!!

Great job on successfully making it through a dinner out. Now comes the real test - making it through a social event where there will be food abound. Good for you in preplanning to eat before going and taking something along just in case. I'm sure you will do just fine. You will have God on your side giving you the strength that you need.

Great job with your choices, that is the way you will become successful at this. I agree, bring something tonight and if you dont want only veggies, roll up some deli ham or turkey slices with cheese, you can also spread cream cheese on it before you roll it, and some add a pickle. Cut into bit size pieces! There are actually a lot of options for that type of situation. Go girl, be strong!

Robin, great job choosing the burger sans bun! I had one for breakfast yesterday...I do love burgers, which is why we are always out of ground beef! lol S for yor bible study, what about some "cheese its, Atkins style"? Just take a slice of Deluxe American cheese (any flavor, bacon cheddar, pepper jack, or plain), cut it into 16 pieces, place on a piece of parchment paper, about 1/2 inch apart, and microwave in 20 second increments until they are lightly browned. They are delicious and Kraft deluxe cheese slices has no carbs. To enter it in your food diary, just enter one slice of Kraft Deluxe for every 16 crackers that you eat. They make a great substitute for croutons on salad and are great with tuna salad. I took some to my dad's birthday party and the other people there ended up eating them instead of the high carb snacks.
