Diario de Moguay, 02 dic. 20

Every sense I was diagnosed with type II diabetes, about 7 years ago, I have read extensivly about different eating plans. Some very restrictive, while others say no foods are off limit they should be consumed in moderation. A few years back my triglycerides went sky high so I began reading about that as well. I came to accept, for myself, I will need to adjust my eating habits further and accept there are foods that my body does not handle well I will need to avoid entirely, for example starchy vegetables all vegetables are not good for lowering triglycerides. I am committing to myself to be mindful that I am fueling my body with fuel that works with my body not against it. To help me better understand my food choices I am writing down what I ate, in my paper journal, then writing beneath that will it aid my body in the fight against diabetes and high triglycerides or make it more difficult on my body. God only gave me this one body it is time for me to do a better job of nourishing it properly and mindfully.

I hope some friends here will help you because I only follow calories in calories out. I love fruit and sweets so I just log and calculate. Work out is the best even 20 minutes walking! Take care! 😷🎄🎅

Thank you, I have changed my eating patterns drastically over the past 6 years I now love boiled sweet potatoes with cinnamon. I have learned that baking or microwaving a sweet potato makes it more sugary and will spike my blood glucose. This has been a large learning curve even on eating vegetables lol. I love seeing all of the different foods on the app that people are preparing. My personal challenge is the same as any, just making sure I am doing what works for calories and health. When I do that the weight literally falls off and everyday I come closer to replacing old habits with new mindful habits, self awareness is key.
