Diario de sarita-b, 01 oct. 08

Gosh I've just not been very successful these past several weeks. I know I have to kick myself into a higher gear for weight loss, but I'm finding it much harder than expected getting off these last 5 pounds...grrr. I joined a gym though! 24hour Fitness on my way home from work and I meet with a personal trainer next week for an orientation session! I am excited to start working out reguarly again! I also hope to get into some of the classes they offer, I started bellydancing at a dance studio by my house and now wondering what I can try next!

As for what changes in my diet I can make I'm struggling to figure this out, its at the point where its really all the little things that add up to make the biggest difference. I have realized that ice cream is really my biggest weakness (at home at least) I love it. I most often try to buy low fat ice creams but I don't know if I can give it up.

The strategies that I have come up with so far include getting back into my workout routine, really working on controlling portion sizes, trying to be better when going out to eat, making smarter choices...salads rather than the pastas or burgers or whatever...another difficulty is that most of my socializing includes going out to eat (bad for the diet and the budget) My goal is to make lifestyle changes that I can stick with longterm.

Any other day to day suggestions anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
