Well the attitude of I am so ready has been thrown out the window! I made it to the gym once this week so far....eeerrrrrr!!!!! It makes me angry that I am doing this to myself! I am so ready to shed these last few pounds and it is just not working! I am still eating right, but the working out is "NOT" working out! This week has been crazy with work, being sick, both my parents birthdays, Dr. appts...I know it is not an excuse, but I just don't have time! I wish I can get the attitude back that I had at the beginning of this diet...it just isn't coming back! I an starting to feel frumpy again and am afraid that I have gained weight back, but am afraid to step on the scale to actually find out...this SUCKS!!!! If anyone out there has any words of wisdom for me I would greatly appreciate it, I need to get my butt in gear again, I need to do this for myself and get out of this funk mood, it is killing me!

Oh I know how you feel, definitely! My best advice when it seems overwhelming and you aren't feeling the motivation, get back into it in small steps. Don't try and thow yourself into diet and exercise all at once. Spend a week concentrating on what you are eating and don't worry about exercise. Set a goal the next week to work out 2 days that week. Bump it up every week until you are back in your groove. Sometimes trying to do it all right away is just to much, it is still a great move to gradually get yourself up there. That seems to be working for me right now, thankfully. I know you can do it:)

We've all been there - but I know that doesn't help. It sounds like you're being too hard on yourself - nobody is perfect!! One thing that helps me with working out when I don't feel like it AT all is I tell myself I'm just going on walk, THAT'S it...just a walk to clear my head and get some fresh air. Most of the time, after walking a little while I start feeling better and then I turn the walk into a great work-out. Sometimes, it just ends up being a walk..and that's ok too! Half the battle with working out is just showing up! Even it it is just a pleasant walk, it's better than sitting on the couch, right?! And all those things you mentioned sound like you did have a rough week - so treat yourself to a pedicure or a manicure, or get your hair done - or maybe buy a new pair of shoes - SOMETHING non-dougnut related that will help pull you out of your funk. And even if you did gain a little weight back, it will come off again - just get yourself back on track and think of how far you've come with all the postive changes you've made!

I have to agree w/Packers - don't try to set the goal so high @ first. Take it gradually and set some smaller goals for yourself - and maybe only do 20 minutes of exercising @ a time each day and going to the gym only once that week. Also, quit being sooo hard on yourself - you're starting to stress out and that's not good either. Just take it slow and steady and it'll come.

You are being way too hard on yourself. Don't stress, stressing will lead to total defeat and then will come the eatting. So continue to set goals as far as the working out and continue to eat right. Start small with the exercise even if you do 20 jumping jacks while you are watching TV. I have had the same problem with the working out part, but it sounds like you stay busy. Take a minute and regroup, you will not fail because you keep trying. I know you have inspired me from day one. You CAN do this.
