Yes I have, but they couldn't do anything for me.

Oh, that’s not good 🙁 hopefully your doctor could help with tests; blood, urine, thyroid etc? 🙏🏻

Try butting down on carbs and sugar. Lots of protein...no bread, biscuits, fruit,

Weight gain can be so much more than just food. Toxic relationships, stress levels, a job you hate, lack of activity and so on. It's about finding balance with it all. Also remember that you can eat great all week and then horrible on the weekend and this can throw your daily calorie intake average out completely. Keep tracking your calories, this will keep you accountable and try to stay consistent. It's ok if you have a small "naughty" snack, just don't over do it! Best of luck. Don't beat yourself up. Keep at it, every day you are learning and getting that little step closer to finding what works for you and your body! 😘

Rubbish. It's not magic. It's not some strange mysterious relationship. You may be on medication that slows your metabolism, or increases your appetite. But, if not, you just haven't figured out healthy eating yet. There is no "cheating" and "getting away with it". It's a simple fuel in (food and drinks) = fuel out (survival energy + any exercise/activity) + fuel stored (fat). One of my greatest learnings - you can't eat your way to weight loss. At least - not by eating packaged "low fat" diet foods. It's just about plain food. Good vegies, good fruit, good meat (or lentils or whatever). I think of what you probably see as "treats" as poison, much easier since I've developed a horrendous disease that was probably largely caused by my daily sugar overdoses. If you are going to lose weight, you really have to change your relationship with food - until you do that - it will indeed be a frustrating waste of time. Your posts indicate that you've been stuck for years. Maybe give up for a few years. That might be what you need to do, rather than keep on failing because you want a different result while continuing to do the same things over and over again. This is intended as a tough love post - I've sent you lots of support over the years but the gently, validating approach doesn't seem to help. So I'm telling it how I see it. I am sorry for you, but pretending it's some mysterious bad luck that you have that means you mysteriously gain weight in the face of doing all of the "right" things is dishonest - to yourself presumably because the rest of us know it's garbage-, and is not going to help. I care too much to feed that unhelpful story. And as I've told you before - sugar feeds depression. So that chocolate treat is going to make you sad once the high wears off. Trim people maintain that way because eating well and moving makes people happier than anything Cadbury can produce. Whatever you decide to do, good luck Wendy. I wish you the body you deserve.

Thank you My Metamorphis. I've been doing better since I wrote this. It's definitely my medications that are doing this but my Doctor wont do anything about it. SO I'm on the hunt for a new one what will listen to symptoms and not numbers. I am way overdue for a blood test for my hypothyroidism. My depression has been a yo-yo because of this (and yes the sugar isn't helping). This is the year that i become my healthier self. Have some hurdles that i'm doing my best to get over. And thank you for the tough love post, I needed it =)
