Funny you should say that 4th. From Wiki - "The digestive was first developed in 1839 by two Scottish doctors to aid digestion. The term "digestive" is derived from the belief that they had antacid properties due to the use of sodium bicarbonate when they were first developed." So not constipation but certainly they were supposed to be a health aid for the stomach 😊

4th and Doobrie.. they defo weren't medicinal.. infact they were joined by milk chocolate digestives, ginger nuts and strawberry laces 😂😂😂
And I can't believe how much sugar I used to eat out of our work kitchen each day. Funnily enough, most of the other people in my office much on these all day, a bit at a time, keeping their sugar and insulin levels maxed out .. they're too busy eating to notice I normally fast all day at work now . Just saying no is so much easier than having just a little 😊
