Well, I've definitely paid the piper for my week of recklessness. What an eye opener! I knew my poor eating habits got me into this mess, but it's really shocking to see what just 6 days of letting go has done to me.

I think stepping on the scale this morning was enough to get me scared straight!!! And, while I'm sad for my counter-productivity, I'm thankful to have a little incentive to get back on the wagon.

Spring is definitely in the air here, and though it's cool out today, the sky is blue and it's a truly beautiful sunny day. I'm off to get some exercise in!!

Happy weekend everyone.

Don't panic. Part of the gain is replenishing the glycogen storage and associated water weight gain. It will only become permanent if you keep overeating. Now you need to get back on track. It will take you up to a week or may be even less to fix the damage and you will start losing again. Just don't use it as a justification to give up. Consider it a "cheat week" and keep going. You cannot be perfect 100% of the time.

I. W., everyone has a moment, or in your case, a week of weakness, but that's how we learn. Don't let it get you down, and don't focus on the past week. Get refocused, and get back on track; you can do it. You will lose the weight, and in the weeks to come, this slip up will be a faint memory.

No need to fret! We all fall off the wagon sometimes. I guess all we can do is hop back on. I've had more than enough of my fill of "oops" moments (nearly daily) and I am still seeing progress, even if it is a bit slow. Also, don't forget that any weight gained may not be due to food. I know that my weight literally goes up and down like a yo-yo because I sometimes retain more water than I probably should. One trick I have learned recently is to drink a TON of water when I think I've gained an extra pound here and there. Often I have seen that I'm simply not drinking enough and the weight goes back down. Strange, but true! Always worth a try anyway, right? :)

Sometimes you just have to live I.W. Attitude is what counts. You want to get back on the wagon and that is good!

Thanks everyone. The support of the FS community is completely awesome! I'm back on track. No crazy days since last Friday. I've been sticking to the plan and even getting exercise in every single day this week. And Glen is right, I made memories with my family and we all had a blast, so even though it got me off track for a little bit, it was wonderful. I weigh in tomorrow, and I'm hoping to see some of the weight from last week dropped back off. :)
