I'm a bit disappointed today. I gained this week and I'm not entirely sure why. I didn't go over my calorie goal all week which means I should have been losing. I didn't eat too much fat, all in all when it came to my eating I was pretty good. I realize I need to exercise more, but that shouldn't stop the weight from coming off.

New goals:
1. Drink 200 ounces of water a day.
2. Exercise 4 times for 1.5 hours this week.
3. Do my sit-ups like I'm supposed to.

This seemed to a bit harder week all around. I was majorly stressed out due to a test on Thursday in my History class. Life around me seemed to be teeming with stress and anxiety, which I realize leads to weight gain, but seriously can it affect me that much? The good thing is, life goes on and I see a much brighter future ahead.

My son is sick today, not sure what aggravated his stomach, but he's home from school with a bucket next to him. Unfortunately, I've had to cancel Bible Study tonight (which is held at my house) to avoid people getting sick. I really like Bible Study and this group of ladies is so insightful and a fun to hang out with. I'll find something to do.

All in all, I have a very blessed life, even a little weight gain can't change that. I'm confident that this week I will lose and my whole week will be a great experience - positive and upbeat. I think it's time to dance!!

7 Things I'm Grateful For:

1. TobyMac - His new album, Tonight, arrived this week and I've been listening to it constantly. His music is upbeat, fun and has a GREAT message.

2. Instant Messaging - I have a friend in Indiana with whom I instant message quite a bit. I find it easier to talk to her that way than over the phone. I'm a writer, go figure.

3. Bowling - It is a fun sport, an opportunity to challenge ones self, and a great social experience. My son loves bowling and tries to get out to bowl three or four times a week, I bowl on a league with my brother and sister-in-law that is a blast.

4. Adobe Programs - As a graphic designer, I can honestly say that these programs have been a life saver.

5. Parking garages - One of my classes is held on the BSU campus where parking absolutely sucks. Thankfully right across the street from the building where my class is held is a great parking garage that doesn't break my bank.

6. History - The study of history is so important, as my lessons this week proved - "Those who do not learn form history are doomed to repeat it." I know that in my own life this is so very true.

7. God - He is always faithful, loving and kind, even when I don't deserve it. I used to keep God at a distance, but life has taught me that He is a personal and loving God. His mercy has rained on me my whole life and this past week was no exception. I stressed, He didn't, He had it all under control.

Trust in God steadily, hope unswervingly, and love extravagantly!!

Sometimes it could be as small as too much sodium that causes a gain or something hormonal. All you can do is drink some extra water and keep going.
