Doing so-so. My best friend passed yesterday. I was there holding his hand. It was very hard to deal with. The past five years he has been the person in my life I have been closest to. I will miss him very much. I don't have much of an appetite now. I am drinking ginger root - grated into tea.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. I got to the hospital in time when he passed in the hospice room, it was an unexpected death, he was only 49. His older sister and I were in the room when he passed and the nurses came in - he was on a monitor. There was no beeping as he was in a coma and a 'no code' by then. I am getting a photo of him from last summer that was online from a local paper and I will have it made into a print and I will have it framed. He was the brother that I never had.
