Hi farsecreters hope everyone is well! I recently read a study saying that people who eat 2 big meals a day, big breakfast and big lunch and a tiny or no dinner lose more weight than people who eat the same amount of calories spaced out in several smaller meals. What are your thoughts to this? has anyone tried this or read similar things?

I guess like with every eating plan, it depends on the person. I'm a spacer. Need the balance to keep me satisfied.

I personally do 2 larger meals a day. I have coffee and a tsp of coconut oil with cinnamon in the morning. Then early afternoon lunch and supper with my family. I end up being fasted for around 15 hours before the coconut oil, and my first "real" meal is around 20 hours after the previous day's supper.

I think it's because you don't really burn the calories from what you eat in your sleep so it makes more sense to have a big breakfast to keep you going and a small dinner. Also you can't digest food (especially fatty food) well in your sleep so eating big dinners can cause insomnia and make you fatter. that makes sense, right?

yeah but during the day you do other activities aswell which burn more calories so it's still true that you burn less during sleep.

I like to wait as long as possible before breaking my fast, but try not to have an evening meal after 6.00pm. Then just a healthy snack during the evening if i needi it :)
