if you restrict soo much your body goes into starvation mode and then your metabolism slows. if you eat small 100 calorie meals through out the day like breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks you wont get so hungry at night and binge and you will only be taking in 500 calories a day and still lose. Your metabolism slows when you dont get enough food which is probaly why you still gain even when you consume less calories than you use.
