Diario de that phat girl, 30 jun. 22

so it's back to square one for me.
I started keto in 2018 and lost 17 kgs, I feel pregnant the next year and a few months after had my second miscarriage. my mind wasn't in the right place and so I started gaining weight again, then came lock down the following year and I had gained it all back. i tried for a long time to get back to keto but anyone who's lived the keto lifestyle knows it's quite a difficult one, honestly its not something I can do long term. its not sustainable for me. 2021 I found out I was pregnant again. 2022, Baby number 3 is now 3 months old and I've decided that enough is enough I need to get back on track. I am the heaviest I've ever been. I started calorie counting with intermittent fasting. calorie counting is very new to me, I've never don't it, I don't no how much macros to have for each group so I decided to do a low carb low fat diet. I'm substituting flour with oats, normal bread with albany ultima kj controlled. I'm trying to keep the taste as close to the normal thing as possible. something that I can use lifelong. I'm trying new things, always looking for new ways to improve. so far I've lost 3.3kgs in 2 weeks. which is great considering I'm eating normal food (not keto) keepin the refined carbs as low as possible and intermittent fasting. of anyone knows how to work out Marcos plz plz let me know also if anyone has tried any carb substitute recipes plz send it to me. if anyone has any advise on calorie counting or anything plz let me no. I'm sharing my story because I need to feel accountable, I need help, I need support. and who better than people who are on the same journey or are at the end of their journey.

hello there. I find something that's helpful when I go shopping is to d9 a quick check on the KJ count on the back of packaging. A rough estimate to work out calories (very rough) is to divide Kjs by 4. sometimes we see products that are advertised as " healthier" but when you do the comparison they often are higher in calories. try making substitutes for items with higher kjs and this will help your calorie intake. I also found that I give myself a reward day, so I don't impulse buy. and I buy treats in smaller quantities because I cannot have those things in the house. if I buy a slab I will eat the whole slab. so now I buy a small bar when I feel like a chocolate.

hello good luck. sounds like you are following a great sustainable program. take your time. it's about changing habits and lifestyle so you are in it for the long run. in pregnant now. fell pregnant just after spending two years trying to change my habits and eating better. i feel like I've changed for the better and won't go back to the way i was eating before. good luck to you. my advice would be to Always make sure half your plate is veggies. eat the veggies first if you can.

@bethanydavis thank u I didn't even know its divided by 4 I wil remember that. And yes I'm also not buying slabs and big packets of anything. Il buy something smaller and share it with the fam in that way we all have a taste and it's over.

Well done and welcome!! Keto is not sustainable. Look for Lean Girl and Better With Balance on Instagram. They share a lot of genuine good advice on calorie counting and how to make it a lifestyle you can maintain. I have a 3 year old and going strong a year after I stated my journey.
