I'm reading a book called Wheat Belly and finding it very interesting. My husband is thin but has a belly and has for years. This concept of wheat having changed dramatically over the last 50 years is making a lot of sense to me. I think we're going to give it a go. Right now I'm still in the process of reading the book, but we'll probably go forward this coming week. Unfortunately we have a house full of wheat and wheat products! lol. Which is to say practically everything that has been processed in any way. I believe I'll download the recipe book this week and plan out a week's worth of meals. We've both decided to give it a good try. Neither one of us is overweight, although I still wouldn't mind dropping down to 120 - 122 again and staying there. Oh well, I shouldn't complain. At least I'm back to the 126 that seemed to be my 'average' weight over the last 3 1/2 yrs. It seemed any time I gained a few pounds I'd freak out and immediately drop them again. Last Oct I suddenly put on about 7 or 8 lbs and they just didn't budge. I didn't even indulge in the usual Christmas goodies, either. Didn't make one cookie or even the traditional batch of fudge. I know there were reasons for the weight not coming off, but it still scared me. So it's good being back in my comfort range again.
