But if you eat too much bacon it will clog your arteries! :P Everything in moderation. If I had to choose between two strips of bacon with and egg or a half bagel with low fat cream cheese, I think I would choose the bagel. Even after the info-graph I think it would keep me fuller longer than the bacon.

My weight will bobble back and forth after a loss too. Seems like it takes a while for our body's to accept the new weight.

I think that this infografic is probably true but I don't possess the knowledge to confirm it ll. Simple carbs will spike your insulin and fats will not. That is a fact. Eating fats can also make you store fat if you eat too much though. And the problem with foods such as bacon, is that they're processed meat and that, besides having lots of saturated fat (very bad for your health), they are processed (laden with dangerous chemicals) which is double bad for your health lol so, in that case, health-wise, it's a lose-lose situation, despite the fact that you get fatter with carbs eating the same number of calories in my opinion. :)

It's a neat infographic but it lead you to believe bacon is actually healthy and that's not the case lol.

Oh, I forgot to mention, meats, themselves are also not as healthy, even when not processed. I read a study a while ago showing how eating meat (especially red meats and, even worse, processed meats) like just 2 or 3 times a week, would increase your risk for incommunicable diseases by a considerable percentage. This was a statistical study made on thousands of people. I will try to find it. By what I remember, the healthier animal foods mentioned in that study are eggs, milk and fish.

I meant to say "non-communicable" diseases lol sorry for that! :)

I really don't know which is worse though, saturated fats or simple carbs, but a recent study I mentioned earlier, said both would cause inflammation of the brain and permanent memory damage even on a short term (as short as a week).

When it comes to fish though, it's better to stick to those smaller ones at the bottom of the food chain, which have a much smaller concentration of heavy metals such as mercury.

OK, I just found the study I was "talking" about. but the comment section on this website doesn't accept internet links so I will post it on my journal :)and resume the conversation here if you want to heheh.

Oh, sorry! I forgot that detail. Yeah, you have to register first to read it. I have registered some time ago but it's worth it since it's not a dubious website :)
