Ok, so the not counting thing did not work too well... I maintained for a while, but then slaked over thanksgiving and gained 5 pounds. I am back on track now, and I went to a nutritionist. I was surprised to hear her tell me to eat more fat. Apparently only 50% of my calories should come from carbs, so I need to up my protein... an that will help my migraines stay away with filling snacks in the afternoons of a hard boiled egg and slice of deli cheese. She also said my calorie limit was good. At 1400 a day, I should lose .5lbs a week.
But that sounded really slow. She said that I cannot drop more calories without hurting my metabolism, so I need to step up the activity. 120 minutes of moderate to intense exercise a week... but it is FREEZING here and I hate going to a gym alone. So I finally got around to going to my friend's tae kwon do class, and it kicked my butt. Afterwards I felt great, and I am still sore, so I am looking forward to keeping warm this winter while I try to get in better shape =)
