Well the Australia Day long weekend proposed a few dietary challenges !!
There were birthdays and beer, bbq's and beer, catching up with mates and beer. basically there was a lot of beer !! On the 28th I had ballooned out to 92.2kg and it's taken me all week to get rid of it !!
One thing I will say about rapid weigh loss - when I started out in July last year I (like everybody I suppose) wanted to lose weight as fast as possible. I ate a salad for lunch and was waiting for the kg's to fall off later that day :) As we know it doesn't work quite like that :(
But I figured out what worked for me and the weight came off quickly, probably too quickly !!
I August I lost about 8jg in 1 month. Sounds great. Well it wasn't much fun. And I did notice that my skin was starting to become 'loose'. This worried me. I had seem pictures of people who had lost lots of weight and had excess skin. I was hoping to avoid this. Well fast forward to when I had lost about 20kg or so and the signs were there. I had just given into the fact that I would have ot put up with it. Well then came a few holidays and I put weight on, then lost it again slowly, and all/most of that loose skin seems to have gone. I think the slower weight loss has given the skin more time to 'shrink' naturally.
I may be completely wrong, and I might end up looking like an anorexix elephant later on, but at the moment the sighs are good that I might avoid the loose skin. I hope :)
Next week I will put up some 'before' pictures. Two or 3 pictures that I can't stand looking at anymore. I'm not ready for the 'after' pictures yet. That will be about June I think (Just before I go on another holiday :) ).

I have definitely heard that dramatic weight loss can lead to more excess skin. Slowly, slowly seems the way to go! I heard also that drinking plenty of water and doing resistance training both help!
