Good Morning, have you experimented with fasting? Really an easy way to slice those unwanted KG's and keep them from coming back... but it's a lifestyle just like any "diet"

Your mindset must be right. Also walking or some sort of exercise. What you put in your mouth must be less than what your body uses. I’ve been where you are now. I understand the frustration. I’m trying so hard and is losing so little but losing a few grams a day is better for me than gaining those few grams a day. Good luck. We are all here to support you! You can do it!!!

hey Cartier Queen - it's a struggle that really is a lot in your mind, like cooper said. I have lost a good chunk of weight with calorie deficit and intermittent fasting... both worth researching to see if you think it would be right for you. also. why not change your goal weight to something a little closer to where you currently are... that way you can celebrate your success along the way. I had a 30kg goal... but this first goal of mine on Fat Secret was 18kg and in my diary I break it down even further into 5kg mini goals - I even have a 1kg goal of 80-79 lol... because I figure being in the 70s for the first time in 20 odd years deserves its own little party. my next top tip is to track everything you eat, even if it means you go into surplus for the day. I found that taught me so much and I now understand portions and binge days so much better. all the best X

Consider making an appointment with a dietitian, she/he will definitely be able to help you with pinpointing where the issue lies and how to overcome it🌿 dietitian consultants are covered by almost all medical aids as part of minium benefits but just call cand check

I struggled with my weight due to thyroid issues. I would suggest getting yours checked. also check if you have insulin resistance because that packs on the weight. I finally started losing weight once my GP put me on glucophage and I started tracking everything that went into my mouth along with drastically increasing my fluids and pushing myself to exercise on the good days. mostly though, you have to fix your mind. it's not about worth so much as it is about determination and staying power. An accountability buddy helps with that. Keep going hon, you are doing great.

Don’t give up! I gained 10kgs this year too and started eating smaller clean food for the past 3 weeks and have lost 3.5kgs. Better than nothing. I’m just taking it one day at a time without too much pressure to exercise and eating small meals frequently. The key isn’t how often you try it’s in the consistency. Stick to it everyday and you’ll see results.

Don't give up. Try cutting out all dairy for a week. You can do it.

I don't want to be that guy. however, fasting will make you lose weight which will be short term. You need to find out what is your calorie deficit, and what is your surplus and what is your maintenance calorie consumption. With dieting, especially calorie deficit, you will slow down your metabolism, slightly. with fasting, your metabolism slows down drastically. I went recently to check my my body fat% I am sitting on 9.6%. There are three reasons that I managed to drop to that low. 1. I ate 1600 calories a day. which was an extreme high protein and moderate fat. i consumed 210 grams of protein and 60grams of fat 40grams of carbs plus minus. 2. i trained twice a day, and gave my body a rest on Sunday. 3. I was consistent!!!!! you can do it! stay away from all bad food. keep your protein high, fat moderate and eat 6 times a day.

It sometimes look as if others lose weight easy ... not so. Even those who seems to be doing well also get days that they are getting demotivated! What work for others don't necessarily work for you or me. We are individuals with our preferences. You must find what work for you. It's about how badly do you really want it ... Dig in!

If you are not understanding why you are gaining weight. Then you definitely need to track every single thing you eat. Without realizing it. You might be eating way too many calories. Like Capie2 said. What works for one person. Might not work for others. Best to find something you can stick to for life. Not just a few months. Yoyo weight loss and gain is very unhealthy. So you need to stop that before you even start. Depending on you medical history. If you have high sugar/pre-diabetic or have type 2 diabetes or PCOS. The keto diet is the way to go or eating a low carb diet. It seems to work for those suffering with the medical conditions I mentioned. If you are relatively healthy. Just aim to eat 500calories less your maintenance calories and eat healthy and keep the junk to a minimum. You should lose weight. Exercise will help burn more calories and make you feel good. I for one believe in intermittent fasting. It does not slow down your metabolism. But doing extended fast for more than 3 days will slow down your digestive system. Start with time restriction eating. Like not eating later than 7pm. Once you get the hang of that. Not eating your first meal before 10am. I’ve worked my way to 20hours fasted and eat my meals with in 4hours. But I usually do it within 2 hours. Sometimes I will do 24 hrs or a 48 hour fast. It hasn’t slowed down my metabolism because once a week I eat almost 2000cals or more. And then lower my calories again and still manage to lose a minimum of 1kg a week. I eat a low carb diet. Not necessarily keto as I eat fruit. But my carbs are usually under 50grams per day. Do a lot of research. And find something that works for you. Don’t give up on you❣️
