Eh, owning up and weighing in. Like I said in my last post, it has been a not particularly healthy and very sedentary year. I have stuck to my way of eating, but I've felt like I was in the great limbo of unemployment. I apply for jobs that I never hear back from; I can't make plans because at any moment the gov't can request I show up at their offices to prove I'm really looking.
Why does the State feel the need to treat me like a scofflaw? I have been working since I was 16. Other than taking time off for graduate school (I worked through undergrad), I have pretty much worked continuously. I'll be 59 in a few days and I have been unemployed since my layoff in April. I have been paying unemployment insurance into the system for forty years.
Anyway, new year, new possibilities.
