A minor setback due to a procedure for knee ligament reconstruction and a meniscus tear. A seven hour procedure. I want to get off the oxycodone as quickly as possible. I am looking forward to my 50-mile hikes sometime in 2024. Since I will continue my no carbs and no sugar routine, no weight gain is anticipated.

Just a word of encouragement.
As we all know, sometimes, the scale stops moving for days at a time. This is not the time to fret over a couple of pounds gained in your weight. If you are following your plan, your body continues to transform. I only weigh myself once per month so I do not get caught up in the daily mental grind of stepping on a scale.
One thing I do is to take one of the largest articles of clothing I have and measure it against myself just to ensure myself I am in the right path. Today, I pulled the belt out of the closet I wore in January 2023. My waist has become 14.5 inches smaller. I was wearing 50 inch waist pants and now I'm wearing 34/36 inch pants. That way I know I'm still transforming. The weight lifting is adding dense muscles while the fat is melting away.
Keep pushing forward and please don't starve yourself to get the results you want.

Not much to report today—I'm out buying a few items because all of my clothes are baggy. I began in January with a 50-inch waist, and today, I'm shopping for pants with a 36-inch waist. My weight loss is slow due to muscle gains, but the body shrinkage is happening rapidly.
Don't focus too much on the scales; pay more attention to the transformation of your body.

The dried, cured meats sabotaged my weight over the past couple of weeks as salt equates to water retention in the body. Upon checking my macros, I found that I exceeded the 1,500 mg sodium daily limit I set for myself. I was up in the 3700 mg range, which is entirely too much.
I'm down 119 pounds year-to-date after limiting cured meats last week. I will only have them a couple of days a week instead of multiple times a day.
I'm shooting for 130 pounds loss before 1/21/2024. Eleven pounds in two months is doable.
No carbs and no sugar is the key to my weight loss journey.

This is not medical advice. Please consult with a doctor or a nutritionist to find the plan that will work for you.
I just wanted to share some words of encouragement for those struggling to shed a few pounds. From January 21 to November 1, I have lost 115 pounds (52 kg). I made one radical change in my diet. I do not consume any sugar or carbohydrates. The macros included in this screenshot show that the majority of my diet consists of fats (75%) and protein (25%). After about 3 weeks, the body fat began to melt away. I do not have a calorie goal, but I'm consuming about 2300-2500 calories per day. I use an app to track my macros.
I only eat between the hours of 7 am to 5 pm. I do not consume any refined or overly processed foods. I only eat foods as close to their natural forms as possible. You can't have cheat days. If you do, you'll disrupt the fat-burning mechanism, and you'll have to wait several days before your body begins using fat again as its energy source.
I do not engage in any cardio. I lift weights for 30 minutes per day, 4 to 5 days a week. The weight lifting is necessary to help the skin reincorporate into the body. I focus on working the core of the body.
That's it. Eliminating sugar and carbs was the key. I hope this information is useful for those on this journey.
