My cousin was in town this weekend and rather than be diligent with my diet, I went all out enjoying the foods I haven't had in a while. This is now 2-3 weekends in a row that I went overboard, and It shows... I have a 5 pound gain. I am also due with my ToM this week so there could be some water weight in there. I definitely am upset that the scale went in the wrong direction this week, but today is a new day.

YAY for hitting my next goal! I know this week was killer especially with me getting the flu on Monday, but seeing this progress has sparked new fire in me. Yesterday, I went clothes shopping and fit into a Misses size 14 jeans! I started at a Woman's 20W that was tight on me! I just can't believe that I fit into them. That was my personal mini-goal for our cruise in June... To be a size 14, but now I'm thinking I can try to hit a Size 10!

Finally feeling the congestion subsiding. This is one of the worse illnesses I've had. To top it off I had an ear infection come on yesterday. Because of all this, I haven't been watch what I eat these last couple days... So much for no more excuses. I'm just happy to keep food down. I've been slowly increasing my calorie intake since Tuesday. I'll be removing carbs and eating more atkins friendly starting tomorrow now that my body has adjusted to the dairy.

This is why I don't go to the doctor. I mentioned that on Friday I went for my physical. Sunday I couldn't stop sneezing and yesterday I had one of the worse colds ever. 102-104 fever throughout the day with 3 different medicines. Thanks to my husband for babying me all day, don't know if I would've made it without you. Seriously, I was so dizzy I couldn't get out of the bathroom at one point. I finally kept down some chicken broth at 8p last night and some diet sprite. My fever finally broke some time last night (Yay to seeing 97.0 on the thermometer!) This morning I went with a bagel only because I don't think putting dairy in my system after a cold like that would be a great idea. I'm still nauseous so I doubt it will stay down anyway.

Happy Easter & Passover everyone! Be strong today! This is a long one as I'm needing a little extra support this week to get back on top of things. No More Excuses from my mouth!!!
Today I weighed in at 193.5 lbs which is a half pound loss. I didn't measure in this morning because I was rather hung-over. I am happy because I still lost weight, but I know it could've been a lot lower. I went to the doctor this week for my first physical in a long time (on Friday) so I weighed myself every day and on Wednesday I was at 190.5 lbs. The reason I didn't turn such a great loss today is because I saw how great I was doing... SOOO I cheated a couple days celebrating my 10th anniversary. We had drinks and nacho chips on 2 occasions. I know it will probably slow my progress for the next couple days/weeks but I only get to celebrate that kind of anniversary once. There's my last excuse!
Now with that said I am back to a modified induction. No more than 20 carbs a day, but I'm still including some OWL ingredients like extra veggies/dairy in my diet (I love the low carb yogurt for a quick meal and green beans during dinner). Just a note: I have noticed that since I've cut out the Atkins products, I feel less bloated and have less cravings than before; even while eating low carb tortillas. Those products weren't around when Dr. Atkins originally started the diet, so I'm starting to think their hoopla is all from the company after his passing, but to each their own. If they work for you great, unfortunately I've found they don't work for me.
SOO new goal: I have until June 21st to fit a size 14 dress (I bought it over the weekend to really give me motivation). It's hanging on my bedroom door so every time I walk in and out, it's a reminder of what I'm working towards. When I started this diet back in February I fit a size 22W pants and very uncomfortably; they were tight on me. My tops were XXL. Now I'm just a couple inches away from fitting into a size 16 pants comfortably. I am wearing size 17 pants and L shirts from the misses department now. Good-bye Big Woman's sizes.
