Thoughts on Yesterday:
Morning, everyone! Hope everyone got through Hump Day okay! Timshel left a comment on my journal entry yesterday (hi, timshel!) but I don't know if she saw my reply. Here was her comment:

Trust me...I've walked up to the vending machines with money at hand looking for some tasty treat. Then I think about all the work I've done so far and how much I have to go. I end up walking away and eating more pistachios. I usually eat my breakfasts and AM snack pretty close together and feel pretty full. Lunch is probably my biggest meal of the day. It will keep me full up to about 5. Then if I'm hungry, I'll just have my PM snack while I'm preparing dinner. Or sometimes, I think I'm hungry but I'm just thirsty and will drink a bunch of water...Believe me, I've had my battles with the munchies!! :)

I don't know if it seems like I'm not eating enough. I feel like I do because I'm not hungry at all. When I am hungry, I snack on celery (yuck). I usually don't put the celery in my logs because, well, I guess I don't think its important enough.

Anyway, yesterday's dinnner was really good. We grilled the marinated steak, had some roasted veggies and lentils. DH said he didn't think he was going to like the lentils but said it may have been his favorite part of the meal. He said it tasted like chili. Its suppose to be gym night tonight but DD school is having a Curriculum Night. I'm debating if we should go or not...I really want to so we can become better acquainted with her teacher and other parents. The thing is, her school is about 30 minutes away from home- she goes to school close to my work. I think we're just going to have to suck it up and make the commute because it is important that we attend.

Breakfast:
Hard Boiled Egg

AM Snack:
String Cheese

Lunch:
Leftover grilled steak, veggies and lentils

PM Snack:
Pistachio

Dinner:
Probably eating out tonight...

Thoughts on Yesterday:
Well, I did it...I had my health assessment last night at the gym. They determined my body's age (39!!! I'm only 31!!), my BMI, how much % of my body was fat...I left feeling a little down but at the same time, it was what I needed to know to keep motivated to bring the numbers down. I was a little irritated with the personal trainer because he never said what we had to do to meet our goals. The health assessment is free- having an actual personal trainer is not. I'm sure that he's holding out information so that I would sign up for personal training. Debating if I should do once a week for a couple months with a PT just to learn what I need to do...or I should just have my DH yell at me to do one last rep...On a good note! Even though I veered off the path last weekend, I still lost 1 lb!

Okay, guys...I decided to post the results of my health assessment just so I have it documented somewhere.

There it is...In a couple months, I'm suppose to do another one. Hopefully, the results will be a little better!

ETA: Went to Mucho Gusto and had Red Chile Pork Soft Tacos but instead of tortillas, I asked to have it in lettuce, kind of like a lettuce wrap. And a side salad. SOOO GOOD!!

Grilled Flank Steak
Roasted Veggies
Lentils
