After reading some of my "buddies" journal entries, I'm getting motivated to start setting up some small goals for myself. I think it's time to kick it up a notch. I'd really like to start 10,000 steps a day. I'm also trying very hard not to run to the scale every day. I'm trying to weigh in every 2 weeks.Anyhow, if you're reading this...you and I have a similar goal...TO GET, BE and STAY HEALTHY!!!

Well, after a few rough months of not checking in on this site I'm so happy that I've lost. Regardless of the circumstances I find myself in I need to press on and move forward. Thank you Lord for all my many blessings.

Feeling great today! Started my day off at 4:50am and off to the gym. I did one hour of exercise...20 minutes on the treadmill, 20 minutes on weight machines and 20 minutes of water aerobics. My challenge for this week is to do this 3 more times. Getting up and doing this for MYSELF is a HUGE accomplishment for me. Time to start putting ME FIRST! I'm no good to no one if I don't take care of myself.

Ugh...I am craving sugar SO BAD!!! This sugar detox is so hard. I've been re-reading the post some of you have sent me to re-motivate me to stay on track. I just need to ride this storm out...I just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Anyone have any good Atkins Induction Phase desert recipes to try?

Well, so far so good. My goal is to work up to 10,000 steps per day by the end of this week. So far I'm averaging about 7,000.
