FatSecret took my details and gave me a 2000 cal goal for each day. I’m finding that I eat 1/2 to 3/4 of my allowance. Is my cal allowance too high?

Starting. Fear. And disappointment.
Starting; I got on a scale for the first time in about 6 months to find I was 80kgs. I typed that shit into the BMI calculator to find that I am classified obese. 75kgs has been a normal for me for 4 years.
Fear; my family has a history of food obsession. With an anorexic relative and a parent who has gone through most of their life obsessed over how many calories enter and exit, I am worried that this app might make me paranoid about food.
Disappointment. I’ve lost weight before. I lost between 15 kg in a year; but all that weight was back on soon after. Although I hadn’t been on a scale in 6 months I knew I was getting a bit chubbier - I just didn’t know that it was that much. I have also found a correlation between the start of my antidepressants and my weir gain. This done not make me feel good about taking my meds. At all.
