Woo hoo! This is a bit of a big deal because I've been in Florida the past couple week visiting my aunt and father, both of which are elderly (so we don't move around much, particularly when it's Florida in August), have houses full of carb-rich, fattening snacks, and love their wine and cheese hours - all of which makes it hard to stay on track. But I tried to minimize the snacking (Pringles are crazy addictive for me), get out for multiple short walks (the dogs loved it), and minimize the damage. I would've been happy just staying even, so a couple pounds down is a nice morning surprise. now I'm home for a whole month, which doesn't happen very often. The weather is beautiful and I'm looking forward to getting into a bit of a routine.
I did get a day on the water with Dad. Caught a few decent fish and had a manatee stop by to say hi.

Ok. I'm back. Haven't gone anywhere weight-wise the past month. Probably a good thing given the lifestyle I've been living. Bad diet, lots of alcohol, but also lots of activity and, to be honest, lots of fun. But now I'm back, my life slows down a bit for the next 10 weeks and I'm hoping to get back on track and make a bit of progress.
Last night's dinner (since I'm a little proud of it): sauteed softshell crab and Maryland Rockfish with corn, zucchini, yellow squash, and some Swiss chard that we grew in the garden in a lemon-butter-caper sauce.
