Well, I tried the Wii Fit last night and it kicked my butt! Boy, does it really work you out! There are four areas of fitness: balance, strength training, aerobics, and yoga. You are given any where from four to eight activities in each areas to start with. Each time you complete an activity, you earn money to put in your piggy bank. The more money that's in your piggy bank, the more activities become unlocked.
First thing you do is set up your Mii. You will be weighed, given a BMI, and given a balance test to determine your "age". I was +11 over my age, and considered obese. You set up a goal of how much you want to lose in how much time. I chose 8 pounds in 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 weeks, it will weigh me again and I will set up a new goal.
I did all of the activities in the balance and aerobics areas, and tried two yoga activities and only completed one activity in strength training. I did pretty well statistically, but it killed me. I beat my 19 year old cousin and my military uncle at most things...which I thought was pretty good. But, some of those wins were mainly because I have more balance then them.
I definitely see myself sticking with this. Anything that is a challenge and is fun I tend to be determined to conquer. I spend hours on Pogo trying to win badges, so I am pretty sure I will try my hardest at this too. But, how should I break it up to do the workouts? Should I do aerobics and strength training one night, and yoga and balance the next? Or should I combine aerobics with yoga and strength training with balance? It took me 30 minutes to do what I did last night, and I really am sore today. So, I know I won't be able to do all of it each day.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is not motivated at exercising like I was, but loves to play games. I would also recommend this to anyone that physically can't exercise without pain, like me. I have a lot of back problems, and the yoga seamed to stretch me out enough to where it wasn't hurting.

Well, I took the first step and signed up here on the site. I started out weighing 265 in March. After having surgery in April, I started to lose weight. Now, I am at 244 and actually motivated to keep going. I am down 2 dress sizes, and I didn't even do anything! Sure, after the surgery I started losing the water weight and weight associated with loss of appetite. But, if I actually put my mind to dieting and exercising, imagine how much weight I can lose!!!!
I set my goal weight at 180 for now...I can always set a new goal once I reach that one. I know I will never be skinny, but I would love to be chunky. I bought a gorgeous dress that is 2 sizes too small. I want to be able to wear it to the company Christmas party. So, my first short-term goal is to get into that dress by December 12th.
