Hi all,
I am Jill, a 64 year old single Aussie mother of two married sons 40 & 41 and I have 4 gorgeous grandchildren ~ two who live in the shared paint of villas my son & I built together.
I have been a yo yo dieter all of my life but of course I always gain back the weight .... plus some; and I made it my quest to diet down from 87kg to 60kg for my 60th birthday.
I was incredibly proud when I came in under my goal at 58kg and maintained that weight for about a year but then Rapid Onset Osteoarthritis put me into a depressing, sedentary lifestyle, riddled with pain.
I was prescribed heavy duty narcotics for the pain and some very dreary anti depressants and consequently literally ate & slept for 3 years, gaining 37.5kg.
I have had both hips replaced now and I'm in recovery mode so I'm absolutely determined to do my damnedest to get this weight off, keep it off and enjoy the last quarter of my lifetime ..... I hope you can come along with me on my journey ~ I would enjoy some Buddy contact and encouragement .... I think sharing tips & tricks is so very important when we are all on the same journey to good health.
