12:00PM (PST) - I just had a small blood orange and a piece of bread. I don't think I was really hungry when I ate this so I'm not too happy with what I did. It's not like I ate something bad but I think it had to do with my dissatisfaction with breakfast. I didn't have much protein so I gave myself an excuse to eat more bread. This has made me realize the importance of having plenty of protein for breakfast. I typically have oatmeal with almonds or egg whites with toast. These simple meals really help me get through the morning.
I did go for a nice walk out in the cold and braved the snow. It may have been the exertion but if I did over it again, I would just stick with water until I was sure my body wanted me to eat again. I always look forward to the hunger signals since that means I'm ready to eat and need to refuel and not eating out of boredom or emotional stress.
