Disappointing number. Apart from New Year's day I have stuck to my counting calories. I am up a pound today, from yesterday (typical on weigh in day), but I have been constipated since going back to calorie counting, so that might account for the rise. Back on Laxido I'm afraid.

I take a plethora of medications for Arthritis, Thyroid and HBP. All of which tend to bind me up!

Osteoarthritis, Jocko? If so I find natural remedies preferable to medications. Glucosamine sulphate or cats claw are very good.

All I take are painkillers - when required. Try to avoid them.

Jocko, I take green-lipped mussel extract. It has proved amazing. Takes a couple of weeks to have any effect, but now I wouldn't be without it. I've been taking it for years. When I first started, I took enteric-coated aspirin too for the pain. But I haven't taken any painkillers for arthritis for over 25 years now. It might not work for you, but it might be worth trying if it doesn't interact with your other medication.

It isn't cheap - mine comes from Holland and Barrett, but sometimes you can get it on the penny sale (buy one, get a second for 1p), which makes it a bit more manageable.
