Ok, so today I'm going shopping for the first time since losing 40 lbs. I've been able to wear some of my tops that I had gotten to big to wear, so it's been fun wearing my tops that I haven't been able to fit into for a long time. I arrive at Dillard's and stop and look at the nightshirts, a lady walks up to me and says, are these all plus sizes??? I say yes, she then proceeds to tell me she's looking for her daughter who is pregnant now and needs something bigger, but she would be horrified if she (the mom) would buy her a 1X. She then says she's real tiny and would be horrified if I bought her that size, she likes to stay small, she's just like her mother!!!!! I stand there dumbfounded, this lady does realize I am standing there shopping in the plus sizes. I almost left, I almost cried, but decided not to let this lady's ignorance steal my joy. I went on to shop, in the plus size department and bought several tops. I ran into this same lady later in the plus size department and I wanted to say, why are you here, you know your daughter would be horrified if she knew you were shopping for her in these sizes, but I was nice and didn't say anything. Thanks for letting me vent!!
