Happy New Year, all. I'm back to my routine, am holding steady on weight and eating well again. Whew! We've had a big "nesting" weekend, as a friend put it. Lots of cleaning, getting holiday decorations down, organizing, working on projects, etc. It's good to get that stuff done.

My husband has been working on getting a rock climbing wall built in our garage and it's about 1/2 done now. It's a great thing! All four of us (me, him, and our two girls -ages 3 and 5) went climbing out there yesterday for an hour or two and that was super fun. Good strength-training exercise, too.

It's snowing here tonight. Very pretty.

Happy New Year buddy!! How big is your husband's rock wall? I wonder what type of ambition drove him to build something of that magnatude! that's awe-inspiring!!

The climbing wall is in the attic of our garage. It isn't very tall, but it's the full length of the garage wall (about 25 feet) and it goes on to the ceiling. Sounds spooky, but the ceiling is really less than seven feet from the floor. The wall is for traversing sideways and practicing/training, not for trying to climb up high. We'll post pix in a week or so. I think the motivation was that we both used to be avid climbers and we got out of shape and out of practice over the past few years. We had a good space for it, and it seems like it's a fun project to build. Plus, our 5 yr old absolutely loves the wall and is quite a fabulous little climber. :)
