Yes you do have this! Weekends and social events were the hardest for me in the beginning, but you soon figure out how to do it! Keep it up!

if you are doing low carb i seriously advise you eat at least 10-20g of fiber and 10g of sugar. Your brain literally needs the sugar i don't want anyone getting hurt from a low carb diet

There's naturally occurring sugars in most vegetables, just not a lot of it. I'm not doing Keto myself, but one of my diet buddies is. I'm pretty sure that veg sugar is enough without having to add another source?

I often log some really low days, even a 0.3g Carb day. Sneaky little carbs seem to hide everywhere, even those lovely eggs. However, it really seems that having 10-15g "Net Carbs" (i.e. not counting fiber in Carb total) is more sustainable in the long run. I currently have limited input on what I am served, controlling rather what I don't eat, but I sure as heck am going to work a tiny bit of nuts and complex carbs into my diet after I get out of here. Not having any carbs does mess with one's brain function and can cause hormone imbalances, and can lead to ED in guys. I regularly use Keto test strips to make sure even the little bits of carbs haven't knocked me off course. Coconut oil and/or MCT oil really have been helping me get some Mental & Physical energy during rough patches. Also good in the morning to kick start the day. Awesome Work! Welcome to the party!

I do a 40/40/20 split (my idea) for about 900 cal/day. Anyone else doing a diet like this? I've lost 153 pounds in less than a 10 months. From 381 to 228. For lunch today I had apple, (home grown) tomato, and pan grilled jumbo shrimp. I'd never eat (punishment food).
Kale milkshakes, oatmeal, and quinoa...NO THANKS.

FatDavid, I almost never have 20 g total carbs in a day, with no ill effect. Everyone's body and metabolism react differently to carbohydrate restriction, so you want to be aware of this and find your optimum levels for performance. As long as you are getting enough protein (and from the breakfast pictures above, they are!) your body can give your brain the fuel it needs.
