Diario de Gallimh, 22 mar. 12

Damn. March is not going well so far.... I'm back to the weight I was in February. With so many birthdays & St. Paddy's Day in there, there's just too much temptation :-( Oh well, back on track today... start over and hopefully I can undo the damage fairly quickly...

In fairness, I have been saying for the past 2 months that for my birthday, I would throw caution to the wind and have my old favourites (chocolate, mini-chips & Ling Ling)... I did that yesterday and to my utter surprise, I felt ill afterwards... I felt so... bloated and horrible like I had just filled myself full of sludge. The same thing happened the day before when I joined my friend for a burger, fries & beer for her birthday. Why did this stuff taste so wonderful before and now, the after-effects far outweigh the yumminess (no pun intended). Ah well, I guess I've learned some valuable lessons...

Lesson #1: Don't reward myself by having junk. A reward should not be food-related...

Lesson #2: Junk food tastes nicer if you just have a little bit. :-) In other words, don't gorge on junk because you'll feel ill afterwards.
