Steps have been good, eating has been good, stress levels seem to be coming under control, water intake has been off..but saw a minor adjustment on the scale this morning - so I'll take it, of course! Will work on consistency today.

Really not much going on today. Church, lunch, gym, ... lounge!

Ok, I'll take that too!

Mom seems to be holding her own, still not healed yet, but not breaking out anywhere new. Pain is lessening as the sores are scabbing over, now as long as she doesn't destroy nature's hard work, we'll be back in business! ;)

Thank you all so much for just letting me cry, vent, worry, and stress out over my issues. Just needed a place to get it all out of me. You guys are such a great source of comfort - beats food every day of the week!!!

Much Love to You!

New thought for me - friends beat out food. I get something new every day! Enjoy your Sunday.

Buffy - one time a while back, I think it was before I ever reached my first goal...I was lementing going on a cruise. Not sure what I wanted to do about the 'lavish food choices' available in that atmosphere. And I was a die-hard low carb...no excuses...committed person at that particular point. Someone told me - hey, life will offer you an opportunity multiple times a day to nurish yourself. But how many times do you get to be with these people you are going on the cruise with? ENJOY THEM - and let your tummy be happy w/ whatever you choose to nurish it with. I had a blast on that cruise. And came home a pound lighter! whooo hoo! Food was not the issue I thought it would be. But learning to make the most of relationships, and time spent with others and NOT allowing food to dominate that time... that was a bigger issue for me. We all have different backgrounds, but as far back as I can remember - all happy times, celebrations, gatherings etc... revolved around food. I needed to challenge myself to enjoy the moment by totally putting FOOD out of the equation. Now - I am able to occasionally let food be part of the equation, but it never trumps the comfort and love I get from the people I am with. I can laugh, have fun, enjoy myself thoroughly without ever putting food in my mouth. And that's a WIN! (for me.)

You can vent....any time, I think we all have our times we vent where else could we do this, our friends in real life really don't need to hear it all the time good to share around......Glad your Mom is healing and it lessens your stress at the same time. Happy Sunday.

Paula - that's what I struggle with. Food is the source of everything social in my life. Cooking for family. Meeting friends for dinner. How did you come to this point where it doesn't dominate your thoughts anymore?

Glad to hear your mom is leaving her sores alone. Hope she continues to. Yup, lounging here as well. Have a wonderful evening.:)
