I never cook the dry ingredients. but only cook fennel and quinoa starting with 12oz hot water. While that's cooking I mix the dry ingredients, all the powdered food, banana, etcetera separately in a clean large bowl. In about 12 minutes when the Quinoa is done, I add the cooked ingredients and mix very thoroughly. Everything in this breakfast is for nutritional reasons, supplying these valuable and much needed nutrients to me throughout the day, and tastes delicious. bulkfoods.com is the least expensive source for so many food items. and free shipping over $75.00 I think. get together with friends if you need to for filling in the order.

from bulkfoods.com (I have no financial connection with them) I get the Dried seaweed (kelp), Cinnamon, Spirulina, Magnesium Citrate powder, Psyllium husk powder, Nutritional yeast powder. and those are the most important ingredients. I use protein powder from local Grocery Outlet discount store. Ginger root from local Raley's grocery store (and juice them myself with an Omega 80 RPM Juicer) , Coconut oil and Vega Protein and greens, frozen blueberries from Costco, Fennel seed from Foodmaxx grocery store in the India section.

And let's not forget the ads for medications that aim to make you feel your life will be filled with joy and clarity when you see those cholesterol numbers drop after taking X. Never mind that it might destroy your liver. There is a place for medications and I know they can help people but I really think they should not be advertised. Every one of them has dangerous side effects and the impression they are creating is that a person is somehow not in the club if s/he isn't on some type of medication. I was seeing a new doctor when I was 50 and the nurse who was taking my history was astounded that I took no medications. I was thinking it would be weird if I needed them.
