Diario de GETMOODY, 31 mar. 16

Ok, I've totally blown it! I had made it from 212 to 156. Had some health issues and added stress of my husband having cancer and now I'm back up to 220! I can't seem to STAY on a diet. I continuously try and fail. I need to know what to do to keep from having the urge to eat all the time AND how to avoid sweets. I swear, I'm like a drug addict on sweets. I do good as long as I don't touch them, but once I do.........I crave it the rest of the day and give in to my cravings. Any ideas on what could help control these cravings? PS. I don't want to depend on a diet pill. Thanks

My diet says sweets of any kind elevate the food cravings, and spike insulin in your body, which stops fat cell breakdown. Maybe try beginning a morning fast or small breakfast. Smaller portions, longer spaces between meals, and stay away from grains, juices, potatoes, sodas, and sugar including substitutes, except my diet says Stevia, which is kind of bitter. Just try to stay focused and good luck!

Thanks so much. I lost the first time with the Atkins diet. Trying again to do that as I know How to do it, I just need the will power. Thanks for the support.

It is hard when we think "diet" becuase we imagine it is temporary. I see it as a lifestyle change and overall nutrition plan. Good Luck!

I think half the battle is RECOGNIZING how we react to sweets. I am LCHF but when I DO indulge in something sweet I have to be VERY careful or I will go crazy eating everything in sight. I try not to have ANY sweets in the house. Usually when I have something sweet it is a special occasion. Nothing left over or I will eat it. I give it away and get it out of the house! Soooo, my advice to you, especially in the beginning, avoid all sweets til you have a while under your belt (so to speak)....

You are SO not alone. We have all been through this but we are here, back on track, that's what counts.

I feel your pain. My weakness this week was the Easter M&M's. Why on earth did I buy them?! I KNEW without a doubt that I would eat them, ALL. Once I have a bite of a sweet of any kind.......its over. Soooooooo..........I very rarely buy any sweets. There is a plus side though, they're gone and I can't eat anymore, lol

Oh lordy, I LOVE M&M's. I used to take a good size bowl and mix peanut butter m&m's with peanut m&m's and scarf 'em up like there was no tomorrow! I could do it today if I let myself....
