Pancreatitis, "mild" fatty liver, and one cholecystectomy later. Seems I need to get back on the wagon. Not to say I didn't need to earlier, but if I want to relieve some of the stressors on my body, I'm going to have to take my healthcare a bit more seriously.

For the next two weeks, I'm stuck on a diet of high protein, low (to no) fat, and limited sugar. Lots of veggies, fresh fruits, fish and chicken.

We're living on the kindness of community as I'm in recovery, because I am unable to cook and my husband just CAN'T. So, thankfully we have a group of people we can turn to who will help with meals until I'm able to stand for increments longer than 10 minutes. That said, I may as well meal plan for the period of time after my recovery time is over. I have to get into that happen again. For the both of us.

My husband is pre-diabetic, to the point of just narrowly missing the mark. We need to get his blood sugar down and to a healthy weight again. Especially considering his dad died pancreatic cancer due to his diabetes. All in all, both of our health issues are pushing us to stop procrastinating with the exercise and healthy eating.

Whoever said "when you're an adult you can live however you want" lied. Life is rude.
